Shopping for teen girls may be a little tricky, but it doesn’t have to be. Here are a couple of ideas that may make your shopping a little easier, if your teen is a “fashionista.”

1) Fashion Jewelry- rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings. These can easily be found at many accessory stores at the mall like Reference, Claire’s, Icing and Forever 21.

2) Purses and Bags- Look at current magazines and store ads to find out what are the current styles and trends.

3) Sunglasses- Look for the kind that goes along with your teen’s personality. Better yet, ask your teen what kind she likes.

4) Winter Apparel- Beanies, scarves, gloves, leg-warmers. Not only are they fashionable, but they always come in handy.

5) Funky tights and socks- The 90’s are back! And many teens enjoy standing out and looking cute in these colorful accessories

6) Belts- There are many kinds of belts that’s available out there. Pick one in your teen’s favorite color and style.

7) Jewelry making Kits- These kits are designed for kids to make jewelry exactly the way they want them to be. Some kits include beads, others have links and charms, while others may be a combination of both.

8) Hair Toys- These are small machines that either add funky colors to your hair, wrap them in string, add beads or gems, crimp them, etc. Many of these toys can be found at either the hair accessories section of home stores like Target or Walmart and many times at drug stores like CVS or Rite Aid

9) Fashion Magazines and Subscriptions- This is the perfect present for the fashion conscious teenager. Examples include; CosmoGirl, Seventeen and Teen Vogue. They’ll always get an update of what’s hot and what’s not in the fashion world.

10) CellPhone and Ipod Accessories- From colored cases to customizing kits for their little toys, these accessories are available at mall kiosks or many online stores that carry your phone type.

Just remember, pick presents that they like or you’re sure they will like. It’s okay to ask them what style and color they prefer. It’s much better to have asked rather than have spent on a present they wouldn’t use at all. Happy Shopping!
